This time of year can be a bit of a challenge for everyone. So much to get done, not enough hours in the day, losing our temper a bit more than usual. These are a few of my favorite quotes that make me feel a bit more peaceful:
However many holy words you read, however many you speak, what good will they do if you do not act upon them?
In the end these things matter most: How well did you love? How fully did you live? How deeply did you let go?
You only lose what you cling too.
To be free from suffering free yourself from attachments.
See the false as false and the truth as true. Look into your heart and follow your nature.
He who receives kindness should never forget it. He who performs it should never remember it.
Happiness will never come to those who fail to appreciate what they have already.
There is no path to happiness, happiness is the path.
Gratitude turns what we have into enough.
Do not let the behaviors of others destroy your inner peace.
Forget the past you can not change it. Forget the future you can not predict it. Be in the present.
You will begin to heal when you let go of past hurts, forgive those who have wronged you, and you learn to forgive yourself for your mistakes.
What you think you become, what you feel you attract, what you imagine you create.
True love is born through understanding.
Change is never painful, only the resistance to change is painful.
You will not be punished for your anger you will be punished by your anger.
Let yourself be open and life will be easy.
The darkest night is ignorance.
No one saves us but ourselves, no one can and no one may, we ourselves must walk the path.
No matter how hard the past, every morning we are born again.
Hatred does not cease through hatred at anytime. Hatred ceases through love, this is an unalterable law.
Holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with intent of throwing it at someone else, you are the one getting burned.
The tongue is like a sharp knife… it kills without drawing blood.
